NUDE PLATFORMS

I know everyone loves deals! Well, I was super excited when I found these nude, platform, 6 inch, patent leather, STEVE MADDEN wedges! I am absolutley in love!

I found them at Ross and I was really suprised because I usually do not find Steve Maddens there, but lately they have been carrying more of the brand! <3 <3 <3

MY LIP GLOSS IS POPPIN'

So, yesterday I made my trip to Ulta to use my Ulta Rewards Free Gift Coupon for this month... I was only a Level 2 and I ended up getting the REVLON COLOR BURST lip gloss in 020 Papaya... I am in love! I actually bought this because I had never tried it, and I needed a coral or orange/reddish color for one of my summer makeup looks!

This lipgloss is AMAZING! It is very pigmented, thick, but not sticky and I actually really like the sleek packaging! And I have trouble making my lipgloss last because I have a bad habbit of rubbing my lips together, but this one stays on very well!

The Pictures below really don't do the color justice because of the lighting... It is way more pigmented and a brighter color than the pictures display, and it looks really good for no lipliner or lipstick underneath! Here's a glimpse of what it kind of looks like----

CRACKLE NAIL POLISH!

SOOO, I am SUPER EXCITED because my roommate sent me this picture last night via text! Sally Henson now has the textured shatter nail polish, and it is available at WALMART! I am going to have to go pick some up tonight!

EDIT: I also spotted these at Ulta yesterday!

"A bit of Lusting after someone does wonders for the skin"- Elizabeth Hurley

So I was reading some blogs that are dedicated to skincare today, and it got me thinking. Many people ask me how I do my make up or to do their makeup because my skin looks like it's glowing... But the truth is if you don't take care of your skin, the best makeup artist in the world can't make you look as fresh and glowing as someone who maintains their skin.

I hit puberty at a young age so I have always been super self conscious about my skin- I had mild acne in the third grade, granted this is before I was old enough to wear makeup to cover it, and all i wanted was to look like a little girl like my friends. So, since a young age I have been on the look out of how to make my skin look as good as possible!

Kim Kardashian is always accused of getting plastic surgery, but that may not be the case (although she might have). BUT you can tell her skincare routine has changed dramatically. It is sooo so important to not get too much sun exposure on on our faces... It makes the skin lose elasticity, and I am not sure if this is proven science, but but from my perspective it makes the pores appear larger immediately (although it is proven to actually do this over time).

It is true our diets, exercise routine and water intake are all really important, but so is our actual skin care routine! Make sure you cater to your skin type!

I have normal/oily skin. I take my makeup off with Neutregena make up removal wipes every night (I know we have all heard great reviews about these, and they are all TRUE). I use Mary Kay eye make up remover to make sure I get all my mascara particles. I then wash my face with Cetaphil face wash! It's amazing because it thoroughly cleans the skin with out making it feel dry and tight like many products do! Then I'm currently moisturizing with Mary Kay time-wise moisturizer (use what you feel best for your skin-type). I then apply either the clientele moisturizer to my eyes (it really helps moisturize my fine lines under my eyes) or I use the Mary Kay eye firming cream under my eyes and on my lips to create a plumping effect (since our lips do get thinner with age). I also use an acne treatment prescribed by my doctor when I have inflammations.

EDIT:

Ok this pic is after Kim started using sunless tanner and you can still get a natural glow, but without all the damaging effects and allowing your face to still look stress! I personally do not tan my face naturally and I rarely use sunless tanners on my face, I typically use makeup to blend my face color to match my body, and typically I like my face a little lighter than my body, so this effect is quite simple.

Her hair is so big because it's full of SECRETS!

For some reason no one that I come across knows about this product, but a hairstylist at Regis hair salon a few years ago recommended it to me. Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue- Sealed Ends, is the most amazing thing! I have been using it for nearly 3 years. It can be applied to damp or dry hair and it helps protect the delicate ends of your hair from damage! It also has a smoothing effect without adding any weight to the hair and it is not the slightest bit oily or greasy! It ranges from $15-20 depending on where you purchase it, but it lasts for at least 6 months!

OK, this is my other exception to drugstore foundation! I really looove the Physicians Formula Mineral wear. It is my favorite for daily wear! I have gotten compliments on my skin since I started wearing it in 2007! I have never worn a makeup for so long! I love it! There is a catch, this is not for everyone. They only manufacture colors for lighter skin tones! This is a really good foundation if you need good coverage, but don't want something too heavy. I love this foundation so much I have even written Physicians Formula a letter about it in the past!

Revlon PhotoReady Makeup

I never like drug store makeup, but this stuff is my ne exception. It is amazing. It blends very nicely and gives great coverage. It's not oily or greasy and isn't too thick. It really is great to use if you're going to be taking pictures, and it's good for a night on the town. It has staying power and you can wear it for hours without reapplying. I loooove it! I wouldn't recommend for daily use though because it is a photo makeup! But i love it!!!
